Opinion Polls, Research, Surveys & Public Sentiment
“A useful poll explains the number, not just reports it.”
Knowing that 52% of respondents support a candidate is only the start. We look at who those respondents are, which issues shape their choice, how firm that support is, and how sentiment changes across places and over time.
Track Record: Telangana Election Study
100,000+ respondents · Multi-phase pre- and post-election data collection · Volunteer-driven civic model. The Telangana Election Study remains an important foundation for our field methods and election research.
What We Do
Pre-election polling
Voter intent, mood, and key issues at critical moments before polling day.
Post-election analysis
Analyse the result, the voter shifts behind it and the lessons for the next political cycle.
Longitudinal tracking
Repeated surveys over time to monitor how opinion shifts across cycles.
Policy opinion research
Public reception to a proposed policy before or after implementation.
Focus groups
Qualitative sessions that uncover the reasoning and emotion behind survey numbers.
Digital sentiment analysis
Track online conversations, narratives and sentiment as a complement to field and survey research.
Our Survey & Polling Methodology
Start with the decision the research needs to inform
We begin by clarifying what the client actually needs to know. The questionnaire, sampling and analysis plan follow from that. A well-run survey cannot rescue a poorly framed question.
Build a sample that reflects the population
Depending on the assignment, we use random, stratified or quota-based approaches and account for relevant social and geographic variation, including gender, age, caste, language and the urban-rural divide.
Use the field mode that fits the research
Data may be collected face to face, by CATI telephone interviews, online or through mobile tools, often in combination. In many rural and constituency-level studies, field interviews remain essential.
Look beyond headline percentages
We use cross-tabulation and, where appropriate, statistical modelling to identify differences between groups, relationships in the data and possible movement over time.
Report for people who need to act on the findings
Findings are presented through concise reports, tables, visualisations, dashboards and briefings. The aim is to make the evidence easy to interrogate and use.
